Cast ne’er a cloot

It’s Saturday, and it’s raining. The pet lambs are sheltering (I have 8 I am fostering), the hens are soggy and the ducks are delighted.

The weather is great for growing, though. The last few weeks have been warm during the day and wet at night, which is ideal. Today is just wet, sadly.

The greenhouse has exceeded my expectations and reached the right temperature for germinating tomatoes, cucumber, courgette, butternut squash and pumkpins.

We’ll see how far they get this year!

Here are a few photos of the plants last week, and the lambs yesterday. Next time I’m out in the garden, I’ll update them.
